Dear Valued Customer
As we approach the end of the year and start of another, I thought it important to update you as to the current situation within the world of TVR.
Two months ago I had a meeting at Ricardo with the new joint owners and interested parties from the UK, America, and Asia. It became clear that a great deal of planning has been going on behind the scenes. This clearly extended to key British suppliers who will support a new car production base. We were shown a model of the new Typhoon which looks like a SLR Mercedes, long bonnet with short dove tail rear end scheduled for production towards the back end of 2008.
However things have once again gone quiet so watch this space and when we have news we will publish details on the website and via mail.
The most important aspect which helps us all is that whatever happens to TVR, the core enthusiasts are still with the brand. This is vitality important to help residual values and in recent months certain models have gained value which is very encouraging.
Within Henley Heritage TVR the last three months have been steady and certainly more positive than the early part of the year. We have also had a management change in the aftersales area. As most of you know Richard Payne unfortunately left us because he has found love in Liverpool!! We wish Richard and Ali well in their new life together. Our new champion of aftersales is Nick Day. He brings a wealth of experience in the technical area as he was a former technician with TVR and he has run a training scheme for the volunteer service giving him a great blend of skills which will help us all.
